Graduate Research Scholarships
- Australian Students
Australian students undertaking research degrees are eligible to apply for an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or a Melbourne Research Scholarship (MRS). These scholarships provide a living stipend for the duration of the degree. Applications must be submitted to the Graduate Scholarships Office - see website for application forms and dates. International students are eligible to apply for an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS), a Melbourne International Research Scholarship (MIRS), or a Melbourne International Fee Remission Scholarship (MIFRS) to support their studies. The Faculty of Arts Scholarships
The Faculty of Arts offer a number of graduate scholarships, bursaries, prizes and awards, including:
- The Caroline Kay Scholarship in History

Australian War Memorial Research Scholarship
The Australian War Memorial Research Scholarship is open to history students in the third or fourth year of their undergraduate course, or undertaking postgraduate studies.
